LU Sound owns, operates, and maintains four complete live sound systems. Each system was designed with specific types and sizes of events in mind. These systems are (in increasing size order) the Comedy Rig, the DJ Rig, the Concert Rig, and the Big Rig.
LU Sound works with all our clients to decide on the rig that best matches an event's technical needs. If you are looking to hire LU Sound for an event, but are not certain which system would be ideal for your event, we suggest you either reach out to us using the links to the right or submit a booking request with as much detail as possible.
LU Sound is not able to support staging or lighting needs at this time.

Comedy Rig
Our Comedy Rig is ideal for small events, including comedians or small lecture discussions. This rig can support either two or four speakers (but not subwoofers) depending on the room and the event. An aux cable connection is also included.
Past events that have been supported with this system have included UP comedy events in the Lamberton Great Room, lecture discussions in Packard 101, and presentations in the Asa Packer Dining Room in the UC.

DJ Rig
Our DJ Rig is great for events that require a minimal number of inputs. Unlike the Comedy Rig, this rig can support subwoofers, allowing for a fuller sound that is suitable for smaller music events, like events with a DJ or just a device playing music. This system usually has one input.
Past events that have been supported with this system have included DJ nights across campus and Lehigh After Dark events in Lamberton.

Concert Rig
Our Concert Rig is perfect for any event that has more than one performer. This rig can support multiple inputs making it great for events that require sound mixing, including band concerts, open mic nights, and a capella groups. Up to 16 inputs can easily be accommodated under normal circumstances. If more inputs are needed, arrangements can be made for up to 32.
Past events that have been supported with this system have included a capella concerts, band concerts, fashion shows, and small drama productions.

Big Rig
Our Big Rig has the most power that LU Sound has to offer. This system is ideal for medium to large sized bands or for events located outside or in large spaces. This system comes standard with more than two subwoofers and more than two speakers.
Past events that have been supported with this system have included large rock bands in the Lamberton Great Room, outdoor band parties, and picnics on the UC front lawn and Library Drive.
